The "Rockidz" 

Children's Ministry

Our greatest desire is that each child in our program has their own personal, growing relationship with Jesus, and our Sunday mornings reflect this vision. We offer a baby room, a preschool room, and a K-5 room. Each has their own weekly age-appropriate lesson plan to help our kiddos grow closer to Jesus as they learn more about Him and His Word.

With our new Children's Director Emily Brownfield, (see "Our Team" page for bio), along with our parents, we teach God's precious ones how much He loves them and as they grow, their relationship with Christ grows!   

Our baby room is open all service long and there is a T.V. streaming the service so parents can watch and listen to the message. It is a space that is nurturing and engaging for our littlest ones, and it gives parents the opportunity to enjoy the church service. 

Our preschool room is a busy and fun place! Every week offers a Bible lesson with accompanying activities that help our preschoolers understand who Jesus is and that He wants to be their best friend. In addition to this curriculum, our preschool friends also have many free play options which include supervised playdough time, dramatic play in our kids’ kitchen area, building with blocks, putting together puzzles, etc. 

Our “big kids” get the best of both worlds! They participate in corporate worship at the beginning of our church service, and then while the adults take part in the weekly preaching/sermon, our Kindergartners through 5th Graders head to kids’ church! Each week they hear a new Bible lesson and then take part in a life-application activity that helps solidify the Biblical truth that they just learned. It’s always a fun and dynamic time filled with laughter and introspection. 

We have multiple seasonal events for our Rockidz families. They’re always a wonderful time for us to gather and have fun together as a church family. As we fellowship, the events are a a great opportunity to invite other family members and friends!

This is our annual Easter event that takes place the day before Easter Sunday. Activities and location vary year by year! We celebrate and teach the young ones about the wonderful resurrection of our Lord. The entire church family gathers to honor our Lord and fellowship!

Our Harvest Party takes place in early October, and it’s our biggest event of the year. Year's past events have included Buggy rides, face painting, carnival games, and a caramel apple bar are just a handful of the activities that we celebrate as the Lord changes the seasons. It is always about celebrating our Creator! 

Our Christmas Party is always a festive time, and it usually involves building gingerbread houses and enjoying treats and hot cocoa! It takes place at our Event Center across from our main building! All are invited to celebrate and fellowship with our church family! 

Periodically throughout the year we will have a Sunday when the kids will run the service. This is a fantastic opportunity for our children to grow in the leadership gifts the Lord has given them. From announcements to worship to the message, the kids are part of it all! Keep an eye on our calendar so that you know when our next Kids’ Service is coming up!
